Fantasy football busts: QB | RB | WR | TE | PK | DT

In this article KFFL breaks down fantasy football busts of the week. Some high-level players will be included, because you need to know when is time to sit a player even though it may not seem appropriate. Primarily, however, we will address the midrange to low-end fantasy options that you rack your brain over each week. Read on to learn which of these players that you wouldn't want in your lineup.

Note: All statistical averages are from Week 8 to Week 11, unless otherwise specified.

Fantasy football busts: Place kickers

Crosby's value staying still

Adam Vinatieri, Indianapolis Colts vs. San Diego Chargers

Fantasy value: No. 1 or bench

• Vinatieri has been hit or miss over the last month. Twice he has attempted three field goals in a game, while twice he has one attempt or fewer. He has 12 extra point attempts in that time.
• The Chargers are giving up 1.33 field goal attempts and 2.00 extra point attempts per game. They're also giving up 6.0 kicking points per game, which is tied for the 11th fewest in the league over the last month.

Mason Crosby, Green Bay Packers at Atlanta Falcons

Fantasy value: No. 1 or bench

• Crosby attempted four field goals, with three makes, in Week 8 against the New York Jets, but he has just three field goal attempts, missing one, in the last two games. He does have 10 extra points in those games, though.
• Atlanta has surrendered just 0.33 field goal attempts per game to opposing kickers. That average is the lowest in the league in the last month. They're also giving up 2.67 extra point attempts.
• With the Falcons not giving up much in the way of field goals, Crosby's value might be secure, but his upside is limited. Green Bay has done a good job hitting paydirt, of late, and they could keep that up against Atlanta this week.
