Fantasy football busts: QB | RB | WR | TE | PK | DT

In this article KFFL breaks down fantasy football busts of the week. Some high-level players will be included, because you need to know when is time to sit a player even though it may not seem appropriate. Primarily, however, we will address the midrange to low-end fantasy options that you rack your brain over each week. Read on to learn which of these players that you wouldn't want in your lineup.

Note: All statistical averages are from Week 3 to Week 6, unless otherwise specified.

Fantasy football busts: Defensive teams

Philadelphia Eagles at Tennessee Titans

Fantasy value: Midrange No. 1

  • Philly's defense enters Week 7 averaging 3.00 sacks (eighth most), 1.25 interceptions (tied for 10th) and just 15.3 offensive points allowed (tied for fifth fewest) per game.
  • Tennessee has only surrendered 1.50 sacks per game, and their quarterbacks haven't thrown an interception since Week 2. Vince Young (knee, ankle) should be able to play; his athleticism could cause the aggressive Philly defense some problems.
  • The Eagles have struggled, at times, to contain the run (115.7 yards per game this year) so Tennessee's Chris Johnson should be utilized heavily, as usual. This means fewer chances for sacks and interceptions this week.
