Fantasy football busts: QB | RB | WR | TE | PK | DT

In this article KFFL breaks down fantasy football busts of the week. Some high-level players will be included, because you need to know when is time to sit a player even though it may not seem appropriate. Primarily, however, we will address the midrange to low-end fantasy options that you rack your brain over each week. Read on to learn which of these players that you wouldn't want in your lineup.

New York Giants at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Fantasy value: Low-end No. 1

  • Yes, you're reading that correctly. The Bucs have not scored a ton of points, but quarterback Byron Leftwich has thrown only two interceptions and has been sacked only twice.
  • The Bucs have the type of rushing game that could wear down the Giants defense. They'll have to rely on that if they want to keep pressure off Leftwich. The Giants' run D hasn't been particularly stout, either (168 rushing yards allowed per game).
  • Surprisingly, Tampa has allowed only one sack and one interception per game to defenses. The Giants came up with three picks and a fumble recovery against the Dallas Cowboys despite recording no sacks of quarterback Tony Romo.
  • Defensive lineman Justin Tuck (shoulder) could join lineman Chris Canty (calf) on the sidelines this week. Even if Tuck plays, head coach Tom Coughlin might limit his playing time because of the injury.
  • The Bucs D has been of the bend-but-still-break variety this year (455 yards allowed per game). They have come up with plenty of yards and some points in garbage time.

NEW - Tennessee Titans at New York Jets

Fantasy value: Midrange No. 1

  • Tennessee remains stout against the run, but they're extremely vulnerable against the pass. They've allowed a league-worst 360.0 aerial yards per game along with 2.5 passing touchdowns per game.
  • The Titans also rank in the middle of the pack in sacks and turnovers registered through the first two games.
  • The Jets offense leans toward a conservative approach under quarterback Mark Sanchez despite his ability to go downfield. They've only allowed one sack and one turnover per game so far.
