If you are serious about winning your fantasy league football championship, stay on top of your fantasy football team throughout the year.

Each week during the NFL fantasy football season, KFFL brings you its Fantasy Football Waiver Wire, which breaks down players to pick up. Be aggressive when picking up fantasy football free agents. Even if you do not need a player, you can tuck him away for depth or block others from adding him to their fantasy football team.

Fantasy football free agents: Priority additions

The following players should be high on your radar and are worthy of being added immediately to your fantasy football team.

Malcom Floyd, San Diego Chargers (95 percent)

The 6-foot-5, 225-pound Floyd started in Week 8 ahead of Chris Chambers, 31. The latter has lost a step, has had trouble hauling in the football and was released the day after that game. The two were splitting time at the spot opposite Vincent Jackson; Floyd had been targeted more often recently and was outperforming Chambers. San Diego's potentially explosive offense values size on the outside. These two have headed in opposite directions.

The following players will have greater significance in deep fantasy football leagues. In shallow fantasy football leagues, they are not as high of a priority but should be considered based on your fantasy football team's needs.

Justin Gage, Tennessee Titans (80 percent)

Picking the right Titans wideout to break out each week has been a crapshoot, but Gage has an advantage now that Vince Young is behind center. Gage's best season in the NFL came in VY's second NFL campaign, which saw Young start 15 games. Gage has a better rapport with Young than any recipient not named Bo Scaife.

Gage has been targeted at least five times in five of Tennessee's seven games this year, making him arguably Tennessee's most involved wideout. His 15 looks in the last three games lead Titans wideouts. At this juncture, Gage has the most to gain due to his familiarity with the new starting thrower.

Fantasy football free agents: Watch list

These fantasy football free agents shouldn't be on your immediate list. They may have had a big week. They may have talent but are buried on the depth chart and merely awaiting an opportunity. Still, fantasy football players must know who they are for their potential contribution in the future.

Brian Hartline, Miami Dolphins (84 percent)

Now that Ted Ginn Jr. seems to be at home in the return game, Hartline should remain in a starting role. The latter can line up at any wideout spot for Miami, which gives him more opportunities for playing time. Hartline failed to convert his sole look in Week 8, but quarterback Chad Henne overthrew him.

Despite the presence of Davone Bess and Greg Camarillo to cloud the target picture, the Dolphins sought out Hartline five times in Week 7. The Ohio State alum has shown a connection with Henne from their days on the backup squad together earlier this year.

Fantasy football free agents: One-week plays

The following fantasy football pickups are for those who need injury or bye week replacements. They are not players you immediately acquire - unless your team is in dire straights. Some have, however, shown some life and should be followed in case they materialize as options beyond their temporary use.

NEW - Jerheme Urban, Arizona Cardinals (99 percent)

Anquan Boldin (ankle) is expected to suit up for Week 9 after he left early because of a right ankle injury last week. However, if Boldin is limited or ineffective, Urban would be the one to fill the void. He's a possession guy (10.8 yards per reception this season) that has two-plus years of experience in Arizona.

The Cards face the Chicago Bears this week. Chicago isn't allowing a ton of yardage to this position (115.3) per game over the last month, but they are allowing 1.67 scores per game to receivers in that time. He shouldn't be high on your list, but if you are desperate to fill the byes, Urban is worth a flier.
