Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: QB | RB | WR | TE | PK | DT

If you are serious about winning your fantasy league football championship, stay on top of your fantasy football team throughout the year.

Each week during the NFL fantasy football season, KFFL brings you its Fantasy Football Waiver Wire, which breaks down players to pick up. Be aggressive when picking up fantasy football free agents. Even if you do not need a player, you can tuck him away for depth or block others from adding him to their fantasy football team.

Fantasy football free agents: Priority additions

The following players should be high on your radar and are worthy of being added immediately to your fantasy football team.

Bo Scaife, Tennessee Titans (84 percent)

With Vince Young at quarterback, Scaife can reconnect with his former University of Texas teammate. He caught all four targets Young gave him in Week 8. With VY acting more as a game manager than an explosive arm (15-for-18, 125 yards, one touchdown Sunday), his Longhorn safety valve should regain a prominent role in the aerial game plan.

Fred Davis, Washington Redskins (84 percent)

Scaife is happy to have VY

The prognosis doesn't look so bad for Chris Cooley (ankle), who had pins inserted into his right ankle Wednesday, Oct. 28, and might miss only four weeks. That is optimistic; original reports had him missing the season. Until he returns, Davis should be the main target at the position for Washington. Cooley had been receiving 6.9 targets per game entering Week 7; combined, he and Davis were looked at 14 times in Washington's last game. Davis' Week 7 line: 8-78-1.

Owners in deep leagues or those that own Cooley will want to consider Davis; he's coming off a bye, and his Week 9 matchup comes against the Atlanta Falcons (88.0 receiving yards allowed per game to this position in three games since Week 4). The second-year TE was a talented project coming out of college, and he was scheduled to remain in Virginia to work with the team for the bye week instead of taking a planned trip to Los Angeles.

Fantasy football free agents: One-week plays

The following fantasy football pickups are for those who need injury or bye week replacements. They are not players you immediately acquire - unless your team is in dire straights. Some have, however, shown some life and should be followed in case they materialize as options beyond their temporary use.

NEW - Kevin Boss, New York Giants (57 percent)

Don't be put off by Boss' ankle injury; the 6-foot-6 tight end should still play in Week 9. He'd be a fool to miss it, too, if he wants to pad his numbers. Last week, the Philadelphia Eagles, who have been one of the best matchups for tight ends all year, allowed Boss to burn them for 70 yards and a score on three receptions.

The San Diego Chargers, Boss' Week 9 opponent, have allowed 4.33 receptions, 53.3 receiving yards and 0.33 receiving touchdowns per game to this position in the last month. They haven't faced elite talent in that stretch, either, with the Oakland Raiders' Zach Miller arguably the best they faced. Erratic Denver Broncos tight end Tony Scheffler burned them, too.
