If you are serious about winning your fantasy league football championship, stay on top of your fantasy football team throughout the year.
Each week during the NFL fantasy football season, KFFL brings you its Fantasy Football Waiver Wire, which breaks down players to pick up. Be aggressive when picking up fantasy football free agents. Even if you do not need a player, you can tuck him away for depth or block others from adding him to their fantasy football team.

Fantasy football free agents: Look to acquire
The following players will have greater significance in deep fantasy football leagues. In shallow fantasy football leagues, they are not as high of a priority but should be considered based on your fantasy football team's needs.
It will at least be another week until we know when Chris Cooley (ankle) will be able to return. Davis isn't worth owning once Cooley comes back but in the meantime can be a serviceable backup or rotation option. In his last three games, Davis has averaged 6.67 targets, 4.67 catches, 51.3 yards and 0.33 scores, and this team enjoys throwing to its tight ends.
Washington's next two opponents have been dinged by this position in the last four weeks. The Dallas Cowboys (Week 11) have given up 0.50 touchdowns per contest, and the Philadelphia Eagles (Week 12) rank as a top-10 fantasy matchup for tight ends. Philly has presented one of the best fantasy matchups for the position all season.
The offensive-minded replacement for Injured Reserve inhabitant Owen Daniels (knee) is expected to return this week. Houston wants to involve the 6-foot-3, 240-pound rookie frequently in the passing game for the remainder of the season, similar to how they use Daniels. Having Matt Schaub feeding passes to him won't hurt, either, and could make Casey a flex play in some weeks down the stretch.
Tight end Anthony Fasano has not practiced this week, meaning Haynos should be in line for another week of increased work. Starting for Fasano this past Sunday, Haynos registered just three catches for 17 yards, but he has averaged 4.5 targets per game in the last month. That's nothing to get too excited about. However, those looking for a backup or flex rental should examine Haynos further, especially since he has received some red zone work of late and the Dolphins' receiving corps is inconsistent.
Fantasy football free agents: One-week plays
The following fantasy football pickups are for those who need injury or bye week replacements. They are not players you immediately acquire - unless your team is in dire straights. Some have, however, shown some life and should be followed in case they materialize as options beyond their temporary use.
Quarterback Vince Young has reinvigorated the Titans' offense with his accuracy and safe play, accentuating Tennessee's run-first philosophy. Many expected Scaife to see more work under Young, his former teammate at the University of Texas, but Scaife has just 13 targets combined in his last three games.
The Longhorn connection lines up for a reunion this week. In three games since Week 6, the Houston Texans have allowed 7.67 receptions, 74.3 yards and one touchdown per game to this position. Much of this was caused by the Indianapolis Colts' Dallas Clark and the San Francisco 49ers' Vernon Davis. Then again, these numbers could've been much worse if they hadn't faced the Buffalo Bills, a team without a threatening tight end. Plus, if Justin Gage (back) misses another week, Scaife could absorb some of those targets again.
