Fantasy Football Waiver WireFantasy Football Waiver Wire: PK - Week 10
By Bryce McRae Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: QB | RB | WR | TE | PK | DTIf you are serious about winning your fantasy league football championship, stay on top of your fantasy football team throughout the year. Each week during the NFL fantasy football season, KFFL brings you its Fantasy Football Waiver Wire, which breaks down players to pick up. Be aggressive when picking up fantasy football free agents. Even if you do not need a player, you can tuck him away for depth or block others from adding him to their fantasy football team. Note: Percentage of polled leagues in which player is available in parentheses Fantasy football free agents: Priority additionsThe following players should be high on your radar and are worthy of being added immediately to your fantasy football team. Rob Bironas, Tennessee Titans (44 percent) Throw out the bagel Bironas and Tennessee's offense put up in their 59-0 loss in Week 6; in three of his last four games, Bironas has at least nine kicking points. In the last two weeks he has attempted five field goals and seven extra points, converting all 12 of those kicks. Tennessee's offense has been moving the ball better with Vince Young behind center, and Bironas has been a top fantasy kicker when that has happened in the past. The Titans also have some favorable matchups during typical playoff weeks: the Miami Dolphins in Week 15 and San Diego Chargers in Week 16, along with the Seattle Seahawks in Week 17. His Week 14 soiree with the St. Louis Rams probably won't be too bad, either. Fantasy football free agents: One-week playsThe following fantasy football pickups are for those who need injury or bye week replacements. They are not players you immediately acquire - unless your team is in dire straights. Some have, however, shown some life and should be followed in case they materialize as options beyond their temporary use. NEW - Josh Brown, St. Louis Rams (88 percent) The Rams offense has shown some improvement in moving the ball of late; they're still not scoring often, though. Brown's attempts have been inconsistent, but he hasn't missed a kick since Week 4. He has attempted at least two field goals in two of the last four weeks (three games). OK, his stats aren't overwhelming, but the New Orleans Saints, his Week 10 opponent, have been conceding 2.50 field goal attempts and 3.00 extra point attempts per game over the last month. Opposing kickers are averaging 9.0 fantasy points per game in that time. If you're desperate, Brown could be worth a gamble.
