The Giants plan to give Posey some extensive PT if and when the Giants are eliminated from postseason contention. The big-name prospect is just 1-for-3 in three spot-duty games. Bengie Molina (hand) left Thursday's game early, meaning they may not wait long to install Posey there. Bailey lines up against the St. Louis Cardinals and Pittsburgh Pirates at home next week; he has pitched better at Great American Ball Park, with three straight quality starts there. Be wary of the Cards' upper-level road offense, but the Pirates appearance and his home performance make Bailey worth a two-start gamble for spot-start seekers.
