Fantasy Baseball Diamond Market - NL

Fantasy baseball waivers and the acquisition of fantasy baseball free agents can make or break your season. Your fantasy baseball cheat sheets won't help you after spring training. If your team remains the same after opening day, you will have trouble competing in your rotisserie baseball league.

Do you need to replace your fantasy baseball busts? Which fantasy baseball players can you ignore? KFFL.com's Fantasy Baseball Diamond Market gives you fantasy baseball tips and insight to sort through the masses quickly.

Outfielders

Ryan Langerhans, OF, Seattle Mariners

With Milton Bradley (personal) out indefinitely, Langerhans, who started in left field Wednesday, is the likely replacement. He showed some power during part-time work in the mid-Aughts, but he's mainly a playing time flier based on a possible extended absence for Bradley. Michael Saunders is an option, too, and would be a better experiment if called up.

Starting pitchers

Koji Uehara, RP, Baltimore Orioles

Baltimore Orioles RP Koji Uehara
Uehara: in the mix for SVOs?

The O's activated the righty from the DL and will stick him in the bullpen. He didn't show overwhelming dominance in his first MLB season, but the 35-year-old boasts pristine control and can help in deep leagues. Consider Uehara a prime speculative saves candidate behind current interim stopper Alfredo Simon.

Henry Rodriguez, RP, Oakland Athletics

The A's roll out another intriguing reliever who can hit triple digits on the gun. H-Rod has added a steady slider, too, and he's becoming more of a pitcher, not just a thrower.

LIMA employers must pay attention; the righty fanned 14 in 9 1/3 relief frames at Triple-A Sacramento and has topped a K per inning at each of his farm stops. The former starter can be stretched into multiple innings - a la roto darling Tyler Clippard. How long he'll be up is TBD, though.
