Fantasy football sleepers: QB | RB | WR | TE | PK | DT

In this article KFFL breaks down the fantasy football sleepers of the week. We will avoid marquee names because players of that caliber are rarely benched, regardless of their matchup. Instead, we will focus on the players that make your fantasy lineup decisions stressful each week. Read on to learn which midrange to low-end players you wouldn't necessarily consider that you need to get into your lineup.

Note: All statistics are from Weeks 1 through 3, unless otherwise stated.

Fantasy football sleepers: Tight ends

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Marcedes Lewis
Lewis' relevance is news

Jacob Tamme, Denver Broncos vs. Oakland Raiders

Fantasy value: Low-end No. 1

  • Tamme was looked at 10 times in Week 3 but caught only three passes for 31 yards. A leg injury removed him from the game temporarily but he returned. He's also nursing a groin injury from the contest.
  • If he can't go, you can sub in Joel Dreessen, and he'd have similar sleeper appeal. He caught a fluke TD pass Sunday and is the secondary option in the passing game for now.
  • The Raiders are a solid fantasy matchup for the position, having allowed 4.67 catches for 40.7 yards and a touchdown per game.

Marcedes Lewis, Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Fantasy value: Flex or bench

  • Following a five-target, five-catch, 52-yard Week 1 in which he scored a TD, he's had just one look in the two weeks since. His sparse involvement makes him a mere matchup addition in most leagues.
  • Those deep managers might want to give him a whirl this week. The Bengals have allowed 6.0 receptions, 80.7 receiving yards and 0.33 touchdown grabs per game to the position.

NEW - Dallas Clark, Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Washington Redskins

Fantasy value: Flex or bench

  • Josh Freeman's putrid Week 3 effort should be quickly forgotten. The Redskins are miserable against the quarterback position and, by extension, friendly to tight ends. Clark has yet to find the end zone this year and is averaging a mere 22.0 yards on a pair of receptions per matchup.
  • Tight ends are rippin' it up against the 'Skins to the tune of 12.3 non-PPR fantasy points, 5.67 catches, 72.7 yards and a touchdown per outing. Those averages rank them among the five worst D's against the position. Maybe, just maybe, even Clark can exploit them this week for desperate owners.
