KFFL.com's Fantasy Baseball Closer Hot Seat series gives you no-nonsense ratings of performances, injuries and managerial decisions in MLB bullpens. Get your arm loose: Let's find fantasy baseball players in your rotisserie or head-to-head baseball league who'll get saves.

Mound meetings

The San Francisco Giants' committee pounded the gavel last night in their typically ugly fashion. At least a save came about. Sergio Romo started the ninth inning. He faced three righty bats, retiring the first two, including Matt Kemp, but surrendered a solo blast to Hanley Ramirez, only the second tater Romo has allowed this year. Javier Lopez replaced Romo to retire Andre Ethier and escape with a one-run victory and his second closure.

Consider Jeremy Affeldt the top lefty in this group, with Romo serving as the co-chairman. Lopez will probably see one or two more chances this year, but that's not frequently enough to employ him confidently in mixed leagues.

Other Monday saviors

Rafael Betancourt (24), Rockies Danced around single, BB to finish it
Addison Reed (22), White Sox 2-out single didn't faze him
Tom Wilhelmsen (18), Mariners GIDP put out bases-loaded fire
Dale Thayer (7), Padres 1-out single, but back-to-back K closed it out
