Mound meetingsThe San Francisco Giants' committee pounded the gavel last night in their typically ugly fashion. At least a save came about. Sergio Romo started the ninth inning. He faced three righty bats, retiring the first two, including Matt Kemp, but surrendered a solo blast to Hanley Ramirez, only the second tater Romo has allowed this year. Javier Lopez replaced Romo to retire Andre Ethier and escape with a one-run victory and his second closure. Consider Jeremy Affeldt the top lefty in this group, with Romo serving as the co-chairman. Lopez will probably see one or two more chances this year, but that's not frequently enough to employ him confidently in mixed leagues. Other Monday saviors
