Even if he makes the roster out of camp, his best shot at playing time would come if young backstop Nick Hundley falters. Alfonzo is the only other catching option the Pads currently have, but you don't need to worry about him outside of two-catcher NL-only drafts.

Daniel Cabrera, SP, Washington Nationals

Hopefully those who took a chance on Cabrera in 2008 sold him high after his hot start - especially since his K's plummeted from previous seasons. A move to the NL gives him some fantasy intrigue, but the wild Cabrera remains a dice roll, even in deep-NL only leagues.

Kevin Correia, SP, San Diego Padres

Could he benefit from a PETCO Park home schedule? Maybe, but he may not even crack a rotation that could feature youngsters Joshua Geer and Wade LeBlanc at the back end. Wait until the season starts before remembering his name.

Joe Nelson, RP, Tampa Bay Rays

Nelson was a valuable reliever in NL-only leagues last year. Any hope of him earning save chances, though, looks to be blocked by Rays closer Troy Percival along with relievers Dan Wheeler and Grant Balfour. Barring injuries to his superiors, the 34-year-old is probably only a waiver wire pickup during an AL-only season.
