Pros: Miller led the Raiders in receiving last year, and their wide receiving corps didn't notably improve this offseason. Quarterback JaMarcus Russell is still in over his head and often checks down to Miller. In his second year, the Arizona State star was targeted 86 times, good for eighth most in the league last season. He showed big-play ability by averaging 13.9 yards per reception, and his lone touchdown came from 63 yards out.
Cons: There is a good place to start: Miller scored one lonely time in '08. He caught no more than three passes in half of his games and never broke the 100-yard barrier. Miller is recovering from a sports hernia surgery, and while he should be ready for training camp, this is an injury that can flare up down the line. His numbers could suffer with any form of quality receiver play from the Raiders' beleaguered crop, which should be collectively named "A Has-been and the Nobodies."
Fantasy tip: Miller is a pretty much a last-resort No. 1 fantasy tight end. Fantasy owners would be all over him if he could find the end zone more often than a Haley's Comet sighting. Draft Miller in the 10th round to meet his average draft placement, but we've seen him slide into the early 12th round in early drafts.
