NFL Draft Analysis: Quan Cosby, WR, Texas Longhorns
by Trent Lujin

University of Texas wide receiver Quan Cosby had a very productive collegiate career. In his four seasons as a Longhorn, Cosby amassed 212 receptions for more than 2,500 yards and 19 touchdowns. His senior season is where he really came into his own, accounting for 92 catches, 1,123 yards and 10 touchdowns. Cosby, 26, has taken a slightly different path through college and into the 2009 NFL Draft than any of the other entrants. Prior to playing football at Texas, he played four years of professional baseball in the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim organization. Strengths
Weaknesses
Expected draft placementCosby is not considered among the elite wide receiver prospects in the draft. As such, it is looking like he will be selected on the second day, probably no earlier than the late fifth or early sixth round. Look for these teams to start showing interest towards Cosby on the second day of the draft: Cleveland Browns, Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos. Realistically, any team could have interest in him this late in the draft, especially if they feel they are getting a value pick. About Trent Lujin
