San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick was critical of his performance following Super Bowl XLVII. "I feel like I made too many mistakes for us to win," Kaepernick said. "Things weren't working in the first half. We just didn't finish our drives. We turned the ball over a couple times. That was the difference in the game." Kaepernick finished with 302 yards passing with one touchdown and one interception. He also rushed for 62 yards and a touchdown.

"That's why we've got coaches," Gore said. "Every player wants the ball at that time. But our coaches made the decision and we tried our best to make it happen."
