Fantasy Football Waiver WireFantasy Football Waiver Wire: QB - Week 13
By Tim Heaney Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: QB | RB | WR | TE | PK | DTIf you are serious about winning your fantasy league football championship, stay on top of your fantasy football team throughout the year. Each week during the NFL fantasy football season, KFFL brings you its Fantasy Football Waiver Wire, which breaks down players to pick up. Be aggressive when picking up fantasy football free agents. Even if you do not need a player, you can tuck him away for depth or block others from adding him to their fantasy football team. Note: Percentage of polled leagues in which player is available in parentheses Fantasy football free agents: Priority additionsThe following players should be high on your radar and are worthy of being added immediately to your fantasy football team. Matt Moore, Miami Dolphins (70 percent)
Given the cavalcade of QB casualties in the last few weeks, you'd think Moore would be a hotter waiver wire commodity. Per-game stats over the last four: 67.3 percent, 225.3 yards, 1.75 touchdown tosses, 0.25 interceptions thrown, good for top-10 fantasy production in standard scoring. With plenty of targets, including Brandon Marshall, and a stable running game, Moore has a sturdy offensive foundation. In the next four weeks - the final quartet in most fantasy calendars - he'll sling against the Oakland Raiders, Philadelphia Eagles, Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots. Hard to picture a more favorable passing schedule. The New York Jets matchup in Week 17 could be productive if he can work around Darrelle Revis, too. Fantasy football free agents: One-week playsThe following fantasy football pickups are for those who need injury or bye week replacements. They are not players you immediately acquire - unless your team is in dire straights. Some have, however, shown some life and should be followed in case they materialize as options beyond their temporary use. Caleb Hanie, Chicago Bears (92 percent) Though he was picked off thrice and sacked four times in Week 12, Hanie showed flashes in his 2011 starting debut with 254 aerial yards and a pair of scoring tosses, along with 50 scramble yards. Hanie may or may not have a rapport with Johnny Knox, but he made use of tight end Kellen Davis and still can fall back on Matt Forte and a deep wideout crop (with, in all fairness, varying consistency). He'll face the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 13. KC was fortunate to face a dinged Ben Roethlisberger (thumb) in Week 12; in the three contests before that, they allowed 182.3 passing yards, 2.0 passing touchdowns and 0.33 rushing touchdowns per game to QBs.
