Fantasy baseball waivers and the acquisition of fantasy baseball free agents can make or break your season. Your fantasy baseball cheat sheets won't help you after spring training. If your team remains the same after opening day, you will have trouble competing in your rotisserie baseball league.

Do you need to replace your fantasy baseball busts? Which fantasy baseball players can you ignore?'s Fantasy Baseball Diamond Market gives you fantasy baseball tips and insight to sort through the masses quickly.

Acquire Add player (in most circumstances)
Consider Add for speculation or because of need
Watch Track player, consider if trend continues
Pass Do not add player (in most circumstances)

Allen Craig, OF, St. Louis Cardinals

St. Louis Cardinals OF Allen Craig
Craig finding time

The Cards plan to give Craig an extended look in the final week of the season. It ain't much, but at this stage, what more can you ask for?

Craig, 26, has never had much trouble hitting; he has a .308/.370/.518 triple-slash mark from his days on the farm. His clubs have just had trouble finding a place to put him. He's a professional hitter, and with regular PT, he should at least do nothing to hurt, and he may give you a few RBIs and a homer or two.

Shallow mixed: Pass

Deep mixed: Consider

NL-only: Acquire

Jason Bourgeois, OF, Houston Astros

This right-handed hitter is essentially filling in for Michael Bourn (oblique). Bourn isn't likely to return to the starting lineup before the season ends.

Bourgeois, 28, made 43 plate appearances in the bigs prior to this season. He's a base stealer, with 18 in 261 plate appearances on the farm this year and 66 in the past two years combined.

Bourgeois has batted well over .300 in the past four seasons combined, too. He has a little more pop and better plate discipline than someone like Willy Taveras. In Bourgeois' recent stretch of starts, he's 7-for-31 (.226) with four thefts. If you need that one trick, who better in the final days?

Shallow mixed: Consider

Deep mixed: Consider

NL-only: Acquire
