Young again ... but healthy?

Can you trust Young (shoulder)? He hasn't been remotely reliable since 2008. He has made one start - granted, it went well - this year. The right-hander made four rehab starts in the minors and went 5 2/3 innings in his final one, a playoff game with high Class A Lake Elsinore. He's going to take the hill on Saturday for the Padres, who are trying desperately to hang on to the NL West lead.

Young won't go deep into his start versus the St. Louis Cardinals, either. But once again, he feels healthy. There's no denying that he's a quality pitcher if he is, especially with the defense that'd be backing him. It's probably smarter to see how he comes out of his outing on Saturday, but he could be a real boon to the Friars' run to the postseason.
