Fantasy football busts: QB | RB | WR | TE | PK | DT

In this article KFFL breaks down fantasy football busts of the week. Some high-level players will be included, because you need to know when is time to sit a player even though it may not seem appropriate. Primarily, however, we will address the midrange to low-end fantasy options that you rack your brain over each week. Read on to learn which of these players that you wouldn't want in your lineup.

Brett Favre, Minnesota Vikings at New Orleans Saints

Fantasy value: Low-end No. 1

• Favre from good in Week 1

  Sure, Favre (ankle) threw for 310 yards and a score against the Saints in the playoffs last year, but he won't have favorite target Sidney Rice (hip) this time around. Percy Harvin (migraines) should be fine, but with his migraines, who really knows? The 40-year-old Favre isn't exactly in top health, either.
• New Orleans gave up 246.0 passing yards per game last year - a decent amount - but quarterbacks threw for only 0.88 scores per game against them. The second average was tied for third fewest in the NFL.
• You'll have to make your decision early with Favre in the Thursday night game. If you have a solid backup, it might be worth sitting the vet for Week 1.

David Garrard, Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Denver Broncos

Fantasy value: No. 1 or bench

• Garrard is a borderline starter most weeks. This is not one of those weeks. Denver gave up just 199.2 passing yards and 1.06 passing touchdowns to this position last year.
• Denver's passing offense doesn't have a ton of weapons. If the Broncos can take away Mike Sims-Walker, it could force Jacksonville to keep the ball on the ground with Maurice Jones-Drew (knee) healthy.
