Fantasy Baseball Diamond Market - ALFantasy baseball waivers and the acquisition of fantasy baseball free agents can make or break your season. Your fantasy baseball cheat sheets won't help you after spring training. If your team remains the same after opening day, you will have trouble competing in your rotisserie baseball league. Do you need to replace your fantasy baseball busts? Which fantasy baseball players can you ignore? KFFL.com's Fantasy Baseball Diamond Market gives you fantasy baseball tips and insight to sort through the masses quickly. Key
PitchersTyler Clippard, RP, Washington Nationals
Matt Capps has blown three of his last four save chances. Though bad luck has plagued him and Nats skipper Jim Riggleman has given him the vote of confidence, it can't hurt to speculate. Clippard, already a successful wins vulture and roto reliever, would probably be the next choice for closures if they make a change, temporary or not. Drew Storen probably would be the choice if they were to make a change later in the year. Shallow mixed: Acquire Deep mixed: Acquire NL-only: Acquire Felipe Paulino, SP, Houston Astros Thank Houston's terrible run support for his 1-7 record. Houston is 3-1 over Paulino's last four starts; the righty has thrown at least six frames in each of them (1.61 ERA, 20 K's in 28 frames). His control has stumbled this year but is slowly improving. Paulino, 26, has above-average K/9 and groundball capability when compared to other waiver wire options. This year he has mixed up his pitches better to complement his mid-90s heat. When a thrower learns how to pitch, look out. Shallow mixed: Watch Deep mixed: Acquire NL-only: Acquire Brad Lincoln, SP, Pittsburgh Pirates The Bucs are considering bringing up Lincoln to start Wednesday at the Washington Nationals. The 25-year-old has front-end potential and has improved his breaking stuff recently, in part via his installment of a circle changeup. Fantasy owners wish he played for another team and struck out more batters, but his maturing approach could be helpful for the rest of the season if Pittsburgh commits to another part of its future.
