Fantasy Baseball Diamond Market - NLFantasy baseball waivers and the acquisition of fantasy baseball free agents can make or break your season. Your fantasy baseball cheat sheets won't help you after spring training. If your team remains the same after opening day, you will have trouble competing in your rotisserie baseball league. Do you need to replace your fantasy baseball busts? Which fantasy baseball players can you ignore? KFFL.com's Fantasy Baseball Diamond Market gives you fantasy baseball tips and insight to sort through the masses quickly. Key
Corner infieldersMark Teahen, 3B/OF, Chicago White Sox Displaying career-best plate patience, Teahen is hitting .344-1-7 in his last 10 games. He's making more contact and hitting a few more flyballs than usual, and his .287 BABIP is below his career standards. This streak aside, he could provide double-digit homers the rest of the way with a potentially useful clip. If you need some plug-in versatility on your bench or to ride during a hot streak, put more consideration into him. Shallow mixed: Pass Deep mixed: Watch AL-only: Acquire Outfielders
Catch Kubel's 3-for-5, two-homer, five-RBI performance Thursday? If he's somehow still on your waiver wire, make his former owner regret dropping him. Shallow mixed: Acquire Deep mixed: Acquire AL-only: Acquire Jeremy Hermida, Boston Red Sox A battered BoSox outfield has opened up doors for Hermida, and he has held them open with authority. With Jacoby Ellsbury (rib cage) back on the DL, Hermida should stay in the everyday lineup. If you need another outfielder, you could do a lot worse than a 20-homer threat who is rediscovering his potential. Shallow mixed: Watch Deep mixed: Acquire AL-only: Acquire PitchersTrevor Cahill, SP, Oakland Athletics Since a blowup in his big league return April 30, Cahill has posted a 2.08 ERA with 14 K's in 30 1/3 frames. His farm dominance (9.89 K/9) hasn't translated yet, and his .218 BABIP forewarns of a crash, but his groundball prowess and rediscovery of his curveball show that this isn't a complete fluke. With a 32-start MLB season under his belt, he's polished for a 22-year-old, in the mold of a burgeoning Brandon Webb. You should trust Cahill much more in his home park, but the righty's skills could remain useful for the rest of deep seasons. His next two starts are risky - traveling to both the Detroit Tigers and Minnesota Twins - but you should still tuck him away. Shallow mixed: Watch Deep mixed: Acquire AL-only: Acquire Jason Frasor, RP, Toronto Blue Jays Closer Kevin Gregg is struggling. Frasor has found his fastball and has put together a productive string of outings. Though Gregg probably isn't in jeopardy right now, having a valuable ratio helper who's also next in line can't hurt.
