CatchersChris Iannetta, Colorado Rockies
Iannetta was recalled after a productive minor league stint. Colorado says Miguel Olivo will retain the starting role, but there's ample reason to believe Iannetta could take over the majority of time behind the dish. Be proactive, especially in leagues that employ two-catcher lineups Shallow mixed: Watch Deep mixed: Acquire NL-only: Acquire Corner infieldersNeil Walker, 3B, Pittsburgh Pirates The first sign of an extensive youth invasion? The 24-year-old was called up Tuesday. After being bumped from the hot corner by top prospect Pedro Alvarez, Walker had been playing first base, second base and left field at Triple-A Indianapolis. Oh, and he was clubbing .321-6-26 with 10 steals in 168 at-bats there this year. He might not play much and might only be up for the duration of Pearce's injury, which doesn't appear to be serious. Pearce and Jeff Clement haven't wowed Pittsburgh, though. Third baseman Andy LaRoche (back) is battling back stiffness. Walker's double-digit potential in homers and swipes could blossom with PT with a chance to gain multipositional eligibility in an extended MLB stay. Shallow mixed: Pass Deep mixed: Watch NL-only: Watch Jeff Clement, 1B, Pittsburgh Pirates The lefty slugger will see frequent PT with Steve Pearce (ankle) on the DL. Clement's .184-4-7 line - one dinger and two RBIs since April 27 - doesn't speak for a firm commitment. It's power or nothing, and it has been a whole bunch of the latter. Shallow mixed: Pass Deep mixed: Pass NL-only: Watch OutfieldersLeadoff hitter? Not really. Seventh? Stubbs is hitting .333 in 13 starts there and is making slight progress with a .247 clip in May. He's keeping up some base path aggressiveness, too, with four swipes this month. They let Stubbs work through his early-season struggles, so they'll hang tight, especially if he continues this run. If you crave swipes from a deep outfield, give him a try. Shallow mixed: Pass Deep mixed: Watch NL-only: Acquire Fantasy Baseball Diamond Market - ALAbout Tim Heaney
