Fantasy Baseball Diamond Market - NL

Fantasy baseball waivers and the acquisition of fantasy baseball free agents can make or break your season. Your fantasy baseball cheat sheets won't help you after spring training. If your team remains the same after opening day, you will have trouble competing in your rotisserie baseball league.

Do you need to replace your fantasy baseball busts? Which fantasy baseball players can you ignore?'s Fantasy Baseball Diamond Market gives you fantasy baseball tips and insight to sort through the masses quickly.

Middle infielders

Mike Aviles, SS, Kansas City Royals

Aviles has already become a fixture in KC's lineup after his recent call-up. Yuniesky Betancourt and Chris Getz haven't done much to challenge him. Aviles' value will be heavily based on batting average, though, which has been fueled by high BABIPs in '08 and now; don't commit too hard.

Jack Cust, OF, Oakland Athletics

Kansas City Royals IF Mike Aviles
Aviles is begging for your attention

Reports speculate Eric Chavez's future with the A's is in question. If he were to leave Oakland in some fashion, the powerful Cust might find his way back to the bigs.

AL-only: Acquire

Brandon League, RP, Seattle Mariners

League recorded a five-out save for the M's Tuesday. Closer David Aardsma, shaky in his last two outings, hadn't pitched since Saturday but wasn't used. Ease off, conspiracy theorists; Aardsma's job probably isn't in jeopardy yet.

But if you're looking for a ratio helper, why not look for a groundball-friendly arm that's the likely next in line behind a closer with a small track record and scary peripherals? Though he hasn't this year, League showed K ability last year.

Deep mixed: Watch

AL-only: Acquire
