  • Neftali Feliz had trouble getting loose before and during Thursday's contest, so Texas Rangers manager Ron Washington turned to Darren Oliver for a five-out save; the lefty allowed just one hit and fanned two.
    Feliz isn't hurt, Washington said; he just didn't want to push the youngster, who threw 23 pitches over two clean innings Wednesday. No word on why Frank Francisco wasn't the choice.
