Fantasy Baseball Rankings Report - ALFantasy baseball players must follow changes in preseason rankings, including how injuries, depth chart changes and transactions can affect their fantasy baseball teams. Stay up to date with notable adjustments in KFFL's fantasy baseball projections to outperform competitors. UpMike Jacobs, 1B, New York Mets Though he went to the league without a DH, the powerful Jacobs catches on to back up a shaky first baseman. Felipe Lopez, 2B, St. Louis Cardinals He signed on as a utility infielder who'll reportedly play often at different positions, but vulnerabilities at shortstop and third base make him a great deep-league bench player who can perform as a starter. Alex Cora, IF, New York Mets Jose Reyes' expected DL stint gives Cora a chance to start at short and a little more NL-only value. Geoff Blum, IF, Houston Astros The Astros' backup first baseman on paper might earn some starting duties there if Lance Berkman (knee) isn't ready for Opening Day. Jason Heyward, OF, Atlanta Braves As he displays his on-field maturity, baseball's top prospect is increasing his odds of making the big club. Down
Russell Martin, C, Los Angeles Dodgers Martin made a very slight drop, but it probably wasn't more than he'll drop in a draft based on his groin injury news, so you could capitalize on rebound potential. Lance Berkman, 1B, Houston Astros Cleanup knee surgery jeopardizes Berkman's Opening Day status - another strike against the aging and increasingly hobbled slugger. He might become a draft-day value if it scares owners enough, but don't overspend. Daniel Murphy, 1B, New York Mets Mike Jacobs' arrival weakens Murphy's job security slightly, though he's still the expected starter. Jose Reyes, SS, New York Mets Elevated thyroid levels will keep Reyes on the DL to start the season. The bigger problem: Will his hamstrings get back into game shape quickly? Wladimir Balentien, OF, Cincinnati Reds Cincy brought back Jonny Gomes, likely to platoon with Chris Dickerson in left field, which kicks Balentien out of playing time. Angel Guzman, RP, Chicago Cubs Torn shoulder ligament puts setup man's career jeopardy. Fantasy Baseball Rankings Report - ALAbout Tim Heaney
