Interesting that you have the Packers making it to the Super Bowl. I know they've picked up the tempo lately, but I'm not sure they have the fire power to go the rest of the way.
They say defense wins championships. They also say the teams peaking at the right time are the most dangerous. Applying both those rules, I'd have to agree with your bracket!
The game that I keep wavering on is the Ravens/Patriots game. Even without Welker, the Patriots have the offensive power to score alot of points, but that Ravens defense is obviously solid. Baltimore's offense isn't all that great, but the Patriots defense is pretty bad. Just about a toss-up to me, but tie-breaker goes to Patriots because they are at home.
Rick,
Thanks for reading us. Where do you think they're lacking in firepower? They are the only team in league history with a 4,000-yard passer, two 1,000-yard receivers and a 1,200-yard rusher. Their offensive line isn't giving up sacks, and they've cut down the penalties (slightly). Think if anything their secondary is where they'll lose it. They need to keep generating pressure from their line to keep Jarrett Bush, Brandon Underwood and Josh Bell from being exposed. Cheers,
Bryce McRae
I agree with everything except the NFC Championship game. I give Dallas the nod over GB. That game would be in Dallas, as opposed to GB and I think that makes the wheels turn for their offense. If GB had home field in that one, I'd give them the advantage. All that said, it'll be fun to watch.
NYJ over CIN (AFC Wild)
BAL over NE
DAL over PHI (NFC Wild)
ARI over GB
NYJ over IND (AFC Div)
BAL over SD
DAL over NO (NFC Div)
MIN over ARI
NYJ over BAL (AFC Champ)
MIN over DAL (NFC Champ)
NYJ over MIN (SuperBowl XLIV)
You heard it here first. No.... My team is not in the playoffs. Happy New Year.
