Jerry McDonald, of ANG Newspapers, reports Oakland Raiders head coach Tom Cable said following Week 14 that he did consider playing QB Charlie Frye in the second half over QB JaMarcus Russell following the injury to QB Bruce Gradkowski (knees). Cable added he would wait until Monday, Dec. 14, to name a starting quarterback for Week 15.

Eric Williams, of the Tacoma News Tribune, reports Seattle Seahawks QB Matt Hasselbeck (shoulder) says his shoulder is OK. He was forced to leave the team's Week 14 game for a series after taking a hit in the third quarter, but he was able to return.

CBSSports.com reports Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher updated QB Vince Young's (hamstring) condition after their Week 14 game. Fisher said, "He has a mild hamstring (injury) right now, and we'll just see how he is throughout the week. I kept him warm and on the bike, and he would have been able to hand off. So that gives you some idea. I'm not going to comment any further than that."

Smith could be a question mark heading into next season's training camp. There is no official diagnosis for Smith's injury, but head coach Jim Schwartz termed the injury "significant." If Smith suffered any ligament damage to the knee, he could start next year's training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list.
