Bryce McRae's Week 13 fantasy football matchups

by Bryce McRae on December 4, 2009 @ 00:00:00 PDT

Here are the matchups I'm paying attention to in Week 13:

Key Matchup Reason
T.J. Houshmandzadeh, WR, SEA vs. Shawntae Spencer, CB, SF Spencer should be able to limit damage done by Housh; could give up some underneath stuff but should keep down 'Hawks No. 1
Jamaal Charles, RB, KC vs. Denver Broncos front seven Denver looked good against the New York Giants last week; they were terrible before that, though, and Charles should carry huge workload
Chris Johnson, RB, TEN vs. Indianapolis Colts front seven OK, Johnson is still our No. 1 RB, but Colts have a D predicated on speed - Johnson relies on his speed; they could hold him under 150 yards
Jermichael Finley, TE, GB vs. Baltimore Ravens front seven Pack like that short passing game and could involve Finley in it more, especially if they want to improve their red zone efficiency
Marques Colston, WR, NO vs. Fred Smoot, CB, WAS Saints have ton of options, but Colston has the size advantage over Smoot; Brees should have plenty of time to toss the ball, too
