Fantasy Football Waiver WireFantasy Football Waiver Wire: QB - Week 13
By Nicholas Minnix and Tim Heaney Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: QB | RB | WR | TE | PK | DTIf you are serious about winning your fantasy league football championship, stay on top of your fantasy football team throughout the year. Each week during the NFL fantasy football season, KFFL brings you its Fantasy Football Waiver Wire, which breaks down players to pick up. Be aggressive when picking up fantasy football free agents. Even if you do not need a player, you can tuck him away for depth or block others from adding him to their fantasy football team. Note: Percentage of polled leagues in which player is available in parentheses Fantasy football free agents: Look to acquireThe following players will have greater significance in deep fantasy football leagues. In shallow fantasy football leagues, they are not as high of a priority but should be considered based on your fantasy football team's needs. Matt Leinart, Arizona Cardinals (84 percent)
Starting in place of the dizzy Kurt Warner (concussion) Sunday, Leinart went 21-for-31 and tallied 220 yards. He avoided throwing a pick despite not reaching the end zone. Warner plans on visiting an opthamologist to address post-concussion symptoms and his chances of playing this week. If Warner can't go and you absolutely have to play Leinart, the lefty would have to deal with the Minnesota Vikings pass rush this coming week, though Minny's secondary remains suspect. Leinart will probably still have growing pains, but those with speculative roster room or a hole in their QB crew should act swiftly, even with the chance that Warner returns. If Leinart can find a rhythm with Arizona's ample weapons, there's a surprise above-average performance waiting to happen. Chris Redman, Atlanta Falcons (99 percent) Matt Ryan had to leave the Week 12 game versus the Bucs because of a toe injury. Speculation centers on turf toe, which can hang around for weeks without proper rest. Redman delivered in Ryan's absence, throwing for 243 yards and two touchdowns (no picks) in nearly a full game's worth of action. His schedule leaves a little to be desired, but you have to love his options. Matt Moore, Carolina Panthers (99 percent) Look, it's late in the season and options are running thin. Moore will be taking first-team reps in practice this week with Jake Delhomme (finger) having been either injured during Week 12 play or being taken out by Jeff Gillooly - err, head coach John Fox. Delhomme's Week 13 status is unknown. During the Delhomme's four-pick Week 12, Fox considered, but opted against, turning to Moore, who hasn't started since 2007. If your fantasy quarterback is among the pile of injured options, Moore has an above-average matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He's a cross-your-fingers option with some room for growth; Carolina had QB uncertainty long before Delhomme's injury. In their final four games, the Panthers play the New England Patriots, Minnesota Vikings, New York Giants and New Orleans Saints, so you might not get much from Moore past this week.
