Keep an eye on these matchups in Week 3. A few stars might not have big games while we could see big days from a pair of mid-tier youngsters.

Key Matchup Reason
Trent Edwards, QB, BUF vs. New Orleans Saints pass D Expect plenty of fantasy points from Edwards as he tries to keep pace with furious Saints offense
Andre Johnson, WR, HOU vs. Rashean Mathis, CB, JAX Mathis likes to shadow AJ, who had just 10 catches for 113 yards and a score vs Jags in '08
Donnie Avery, WR, STL vs. Green Bay Packers pass D Pack are soft at safety with banged up Nick Collins; Avery continues to shake off the rust after injury
Matt Ryan, QB, ATL vs. New England Patriots pass D Bill Belichick will be throwing everything and kitchen sink at Ryan; exp NEP to control clock with O
Adrian Peterson, RB, MIN vs. San Francisco 49ers run D SF LB Patrick Willis has speed to keep up with AD; feel MIN will work in more Chester Taylor, too
