Fantasy Football Waiver WireFantasy Football Waiver Wire: QB - Week 3
By Tim Heaney Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: QB | RB | WR | TE | PK | DTFree agents to pick up in your fantasy football leagueIf you are serious about winning your fantasy league football championship, it is important to stay on top of your fantasy football team throughout the course of the year. Each week during the NFL fantasy football season, KFFL brings you its Fantasy Football Waiver Wire, which breaks down players to pick up in your league. Not being aggressive in picking up fantasy football free agents is not a wise move. Sometimes, even if you do not need the player for your starting lineup, it is wise to tuck the player away for depth as well as to block others from adding the player to their fantasy football team. Fantasy football free agents: Look to acquireFantasy football leagues come in all shapes, so the following players will have greater significance in deep fantasy football leagues. In shallow leagues, they are not as high of a priority but should be considered based on your fantasy football team's needs. Byron Leftwich, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Completion percentage will never be a strength for him, but with three air scores in Week 2, Leftwich proved the Bucs can score by pass if they have to. Facing big deficits, he has attempted 91 passes this year (50 in the second game); hey, you have to find the end zone a few times with that many tosses, right? If Tampa has to play catch-up often, as expected, we'll probably see more chucking from Leftwich. The big man, who's unwed in approximately 82 percent of examined setups, hopefully is in consideration merely for a No. 3 job or as an injury sub for your team. Seneca Wallace, Seattle Seahawks With the availability of Matt Hasselbeck (rib) for Week 3 in question, his owners should at least be trying to make room for his backup. Wallace was efficient if not outstanding in Week 2, going 15-for-23 with 127 yards, one touchdown and one pick. The Iowa State alum was also serviceable at times replacing Hasselbeck last season; this year, his targets appear a bit more attractive. The more mobile Wallace can be added almost everywhere, but it would be wisest to bring him board only as a Hasselbeck replacement or a No. 3 fantasy signal caller.
