In this article KFFL breaks down the fantasy football sleepers of the week. We will avoid marquee names because players of that caliber are rarely benched, regardless of their matchup. Instead, we will focus on the players that make your fantasy lineup decisions stressful each week. Read on to learn which midrange to low-end players that you wouldn't necessarily consider that you need to get into your lineup.

QB | RB | WR | TE | PK | DT

Green Bay Packers vs. Chicago Bears

Fantasy value: Midrange No. 1

  • The Packers' new 3-4 defense has looked good this preseason. It's only the preseason, but Green Bay has generated plenty of pressure and takeaways. They are tied for fifth with 12.0 sacks and have forced 13 turnovers.
  • Green Bay's offense could be one of the strongest in the NFC. They could force the Bears offense to play catchup, leaving them open for sacks, turnovers and more fantasy points.

NEW - Tennessee Titans at Pittsburgh Steelers

Fantasy value: Midrange No. 1

  • Pittsburgh gave up the fourth most sacks last year to opposing defenses (49.0). The Titans have plenty of depth and defensive coordinator Chuck Cecil should provide continuity after the departure of Jim Schwartz to overcome the loss of Pro Bowl tackle Albert Haynesworth.
  • Tennessee allowed the second fewest points in the league last year (14.6 per game).
  • The Titans allowed just 93.8 rushing yards per game to the opposition last year. The run is the Steelers' primary form of offense.
  • In their regular season matchup last year, the Steelers turned the ball over four times. Tennessee also sacked Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger four times.

Choose Chris Gamble for Best Fantasy Defender week 1. He was targeted on the pass the last pre-season game for weak defense, and is paid 64 million as a shut down cornerback with 80 solo tackles, and 19 defended passes in 2008. Expect 15 pts from Chris Gamble with lots of defended passes.
