The Nationals see him as a first baseman that could pitch in an emergency, and he's likely ticketed for the minors.

Second Baseman

"Whenever opportunity knocks, sometimes the real player really shows up," first-year manager Bo Porter said. "So we're hoping that one of those guys grabs the bull by the horns and takes charge of the shortstop position." Gonzalez is a switch hitter who is more comfortable from the left side, so he will make a nice platoon option with Greene, and Gonzalez presents the team with better defense.

Texas Rangers SS Elvis Andrus may be leaning towards testing the free-agent market in 2014 when his contract expires rather than signing an extension now. "I'm happy. Hopefully, I can stay here for a long time," Andrus said.

However, Peralta doesn't look to be directly tied to any specific PEDs. Peralta is already denying every using PEDs, too. "I have never used performance enhancing drugs. Period. Anybody who says otherwise is lying," Peralta said in a statement.

Third Baseman

That's the way I'm going to approach itó'Nice play, nice homer, love it, let's get a W.'" The feud between the two dated back to Youkilis' days with the Boston Red Sox.

He said he has never been a client of clinic owner Anthony Bosch.
