Exciting times appear to be ahead for the Browns' offense
Nevertheless, Turner's vertical passing attack has produced plenty of fantasy stars. The San Diego Chargers and Dallas Cowboys, especially, had become cornucopias of fantasy contributors. In Dallas, it was a committed ground game, led by Emmitt Smith. San Diego's offense ran through the arm of Philip Rivers.
I have no clue what the Browns will do at quarterback, but what is known: They have a powerful offensive line and star in the making at running back. The weapons at wide receiver could be upgraded, but they have several talented youngsters with promise. Now it's a matter of someone stepping up their game. Will it be the third-year Greg Little? How about Josh Gordon in his second year? Mohamed Massaquoi and Joshua Cribbs are both unrestricted free agents this offseason, as is tight end Benjamin Watson. You can count on considerable change at the primary pass-catching positions.
It could be an exciting season in Cleveland this year, primarily through the draft and offseason transaction period. While I don't expect a winning season in the standards, fantasy owners could be quite pleased with the results of the new offense and maturation of the Browns' nubile playmakers. Whether it is Brandon Weeden or another under center, the offense will run through Trent Richardson and take select shots downfield, if my instincts are correct.
I will revisit this topic once we get deep in free agency. Until then, enjoy the Super Bowl weekend and be safe!
