Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: DT - Week 6 (with video)
If you are serious about winning your fantasy league football championship, stay on top of your fantasy football team throughout the year.
Each week during the NFL fantasy football season, KFFL brings you its Fantasy Football Waiver Wire, which breaks down players to pick up. Be aggressive when picking up fantasy football free agents. Even if you do not need a player, you can tuck him away for depth or block others from adding him to their fantasy football team.

Fantasy football free agents: Priority additions
The following players should be high on your radar and are worthy of being added immediately to your fantasy football team.
Detroit Lions (62 percent)
Dropped in many leagues because of their Bye, the Lions haven't shown much ferocity this season despite the talent of their front four - through four games, the team has just three takeaways and nine sacks. Perhaps a week to regroup is just what the doctor ordered for a squad that forced 34 turnovers a season ago.
Whatever their long-term fortunes, the Lions have a great chance for a big Week 6 as they welcome Philadelphia to town. If Detroit's Calvin Johnson is Megatron, then Eagles quarterback Michael Vick is "Fumbletron." The veteran has put the ball on the ground eight times this year, losing five, to go along with six interceptions. Look for the hard-charging Lions D-line to cause some havoc this week.
Fantasy football free agents: Look to acquire
The following players will have greater significance in deep fantasy football leagues. In shallow fantasy football leagues, they are not as high of a priority but should be considered based on your fantasy football team's needs.
St. Louis Rams (79 percent)
After registering just six sacks in the first four weeks, the Rams piled up nine this past Thursday night. They also have a respectable nine takeaways on the year and are one of just six clubs with multiple defensive scores. Facing rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill and the Miami Dolphins this Sunday should present them with more chances to make big plays.
Fantasy football free agents: One-week plays
The following fantasy football pickups are for those who need injury or bye week replacements. They are not players you immediately acquire - unless your team is in dire straits. Some have, however, shown some life and should be followed in case they materialize as options beyond their temporary use.
You know you've crossed into the sometimes counter-intuitive world of fantasy sports when you realize a Bills team that has allowed 97 points in their last two games is a viable one-week option. The Arizona Cardinals have yielded a league-high 23 sacks to go with seven giveaways this year, however, and with injuries decimating Arizona's already anemic rushing attack the Bills could be in for a bounce-back performance.
When you're on pace for 61 turnovers in a season, like the Kansas City Chiefs are, expect to see your opponent featured as a fantasy option week in and week out. This Sunday it's Tampa's defense that'll be looking to cash in against a Chiefs squad that has generated more turnovers than a pancake social ... no, a bakery ... no, wait, a fat dude trying to sleep in hot weather. Bingo.
Oh, and rumors that the Chiefs turned the ball over for a 20th time while I was writing that paragraph are unsubstantiated.
