Texas Rangers RP Mike Adams (shoulder, neck) will rest for seven to 10 days after being diagnosed with Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, a condition where a rib bone pushes against a nerve and can cause numbness or pain in the arm or shoulder. He hopes to pitch through the pain in the playoffs. Adams is also dealing with a cervical neck strain and hasn't pitched since last week. He said it's "more than likely" that he'll undergo surgery in the offseason.
