Fantasy Football Blitz: Michael Crabtree, Steven Jackson, Trent Richardson
By Tim Heaney
Michael Crabtree ran crisp routes in Week 1. It looks like it finally might be clicking for him - full offseason, healthy, more potent passing game. Just looks like a more complete catcher. All the buzz of the new additions around him is helping him sneak under the radar. Steven Jackson's value will be defined by volume even more so with the St. Louis Rams' banged-up offensive line. The Washington Redskins and their underrated front seven will pose a tough opponent. Looks like a Danny Amendola type of game. I know, I know, bum knee ... but I have a sneaking feeling Trent Richardson approaches double-digit fantasy points this week. The Cincinnati Bengals lost coverage LB Thomas Howard, their top tackle collector last year, and while that might not mean much for the run game, it thins out the second-level defensive depth, which might make things easier for the rookie carrier. Richardson didn't run well last week, but he dropped a nearly sure TD toss. He came close to making up for a bad day, and I don't believe Cincy's front four, as strong as it can be, will perform as well as Philly's Wide 9 did. When you look at the flex options ranked below Richardson, you'd probably be more willing to take the chance, too. Hit me up on Twitter, and don't forget to Like and follow KFFL's football pages.
