The Philadelphia Eagles signed QB Dennis Dixon (Ravens) to a two-year contract Thursday, Feb. 14. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

QB | Tony Romo | Dallas Cowboys | Fantasy
The Dallas Cowboys likely would cut QB Tony Romo's $16.8 million salary cap figure for 2013 in half if they are able to sign him to a contract extension this offseason.

QB | Jake Locker | Tennessee Titans | Fantasy
Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains will incorporate some things that will play to QB Jake Locker's talents, namely his ability to throw on the move and scramble. That might mean even exploring some of the pistol or read-option into the playbook on occasion. "We're going to do just like every team in the league and look at clubs like Seattle and Washington. We're still very early in the process of building this offense, but we're definitely gonna look at all that stuff, just like every team in the NFL is gonna do," Loggains said.

QB | Terrelle Pryor | Oakland Raiders | Fantasy
Oakland Raiders offensive coordinator Greg Olson said it will be important to see what QB Terrelle Pryor can do during offseason workouts and minicamps to get a better sense of what the team has at the quarterback position. The Raiders want to know whether Pryor can do for them what San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick did this past season. "If you have a guy that can stay there and play 65 plays a game and do those things and also be able to throw the ball from point A to point B accurately, if he possesses those skills as well, then you certainly have something," Olson said. "So that's what we'll have to find out with Terrelle Pryor. We know what kind of an athlete he is. We need to find out what kind of decision maker he is, and we need to find out if he's a guy that can also sit in the pocket and deliver the ball from point A to point B accurately and on time and making the right decisions."

QB | Ryan Fitzpatrick | Buffalo Bills | Fantasy
The Buffalo Bills may ask QB Ryan Fitzpatrick to restructure his contract in order to reduce his $10.45 million salary cap figure for next season. If the team decides to release Fitzpatrick before he is to receive his $3 million roster bonus, he would still count $10 million against the salary cap because of bonus money that has already been paid to him.

QB | Matt Ryan | Atlanta Falcons | Injury, Fantasy
Atlanta Falcons head coach Mike Smith said QB Matt Ryan (shoulder) has recovered from the sprained AC joint he suffered during the NFC Championship game. Smith said Ryan started working out in the weight room this week.

Philadelphia Eagles running backs coach Duce Staley believes RB LeSean McCoy can dominate in head coach Chip Kelly's up-tempo running attack. "He can be the best," Staley said. "He can be the best to play the game." Staley added the team's backfield "should be licking their chops" about playing for Kelly.

RB | Darren McFadden | Oakland Raiders | Fantasy
Oakland Raiders offensive line coach Tony Sparano said he is excited to work with RB Darren McFadden. When Sparano was head coach of the Miami Dolphins, his quarterbacks coach was David Lee. Lee had been an offensive coordinator at Arkansas when McFadden was running the wildcat package. "They were running McFadden and Felix (Jones) and that group of guys and doing some different things with them so, I don't want to say that word," Sparano said of the wildcat.

RB | Cedric Benson | Free Agent | Free Agents, Fantasy
Impending free-agent RB Cedric Benson (Packers) paid fines for a trio of traffic citations in Manitowoc County, Wisconsin. He still faces another animal at-large citation based on allegations that his two Rottweilers attacked 17 calves on a neighbor's farm in December. RB | Jonathan Stewart | Carolina Panthers | Transaction, Fantasy
Updating a previous report, in late January, the Carolina Panthers and RB Jonathan Stewart made a slight adjustment to his five-year, $36.5 million contract extension reached last August, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. Stewart was scheduled to make $1 million in fully guaranteed base salary in 2013, and after the renegotiation he will have his base lowered to $715,000 with a $2.5 million signing bonus. Impending free-agent WR Greg Jennings (Packers) was asked Wednesday, Feb. 13, if he would find it distasteful to join the rival Minnesota Vikings, if the Green Bay Packers let him walk as an unrestricted free agent. "It's one of those situations. It's a business," Jennings said. "All other 31 teams are an option."

WR | David Nelson | Buffalo Bills | Transaction, Free Agents
The Buffalo Bills need to work to create more room under the NFL salary cap before the free-agent spending season opens March 12. The team needs about $5.5 million in cap space for their 2013 draft choices, and they need $6.8 million to retain the rights to S Jairus Byrd. A tender offer for restricted free-agent WR David Nelson is $1.3 million, which might make it difficult to bring back impending free-agent OG Andy Levitre.

WR | Johnny Knox | Retired | Injury, Free Agents
Former Chicago Bears WR Johnny Knox (spine) said he is done playing football as he still suffers from the effects of a devastating spinal injury 13 1/2 months ago. He likes the situation, the way it is now. He's a free agent, so it's up to the Ravens what happens next obviously. The intention is to see what the market says. If the Ravens want to do something, we're definitely open to that. Obviously, it has to be right numbers for both sides."

OT | Willie Smith | Oakland Raiders | Transaction
The Oakland Raiders could consider cutting LB Travis Goethel and OT Willie Smith for savings against the cap in 2013. Neither is going to break the bank, the Raiders are struggling to get under the cap and have tough decisions to make. Cutting Goethel would save $575,000, while cutting Smith would create $550,000 in space. Smith is a zone-blocking guy, and the team is expected to get away from that scheme.

Guard

OG | Andy Levitre | Free Agent | Transaction, Free Agents
The Buffalo Bills need to work to create more room under the NFL salary cap before the free-agent spending season opens March 12. The team needs about $5.5 million in cap space for their 2013 draft choices, and they need $6.8 million to retain the rights to S Jairus Byrd. DE | Cliff Avril | Free Agent | Free Agents
Detroit Lions impending free-agent DE Cliff Avril would like to re-sign with the team, but likely not for a hometown discount. "I don't know. It depends on the situation, honestly," Avril said. Neither is going to break the bank, the Raiders are struggling to get under the cap and have tough decisions to make. Cutting Goethel would save $575,000, while cutting Smith would create $550,000 in space. Smith is a zone-blocking guy, and the team is expected to get away from that scheme.
