Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: QB - Week 13 (with video)

If you are serious about winning your fantasy league football championship, stay on top of your fantasy football team throughout the year.

Each week during the NFL fantasy football season, KFFL brings you its Fantasy Football Waiver Wire, which breaks down players to pick up. Be aggressive when picking up fantasy football free agents. Even if you do not need a player, you can tuck him away for depth or block others from adding him to their fantasy football team.

Fantasy football free agents: Priority additions

The following players should be high on your radar and are worthy of being added immediately to your fantasy football team.

Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks (55 percent)

San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick
Kaepernick got it done

Wilson looked sharp coming out of his bye, completing 21 of 27 passes for 224 yards and two touchdowns - his fourth straight game with multiple touchdown strikes. The rookie is also making plays with his legs, running for a season-high 38 yards in the game. Even with some tough matchups on the horizon, Wilson is playing at a high enough level that he deserves to be picked up in all leagues.

Colin Kaepernick, San Francisco 49ers (49 percent)

With a healthy Alex Smith looking on from the sideline, Kaepernick led the 49ers to a road win over the New Orleans Saints. He endured some ups and downs, but when the dust settled he'd accounted for two touchdowns (one passing, one rushing) and 231 passing yards. It's hard to see Jim Harbaugh switching back at this point.

Fantasy football free agents: Look to acquire

The following players will have greater significance in deep fantasy football leagues. In shallow fantasy football leagues, they are not as high of a priority but should be considered based on your fantasy football team's needs.

Chad Henne, Jacksonville Jaguars (81 percent)

Although Henne didn't match his spectacular Week 11 output (354 yards, four touchdowns), the veteran did pass for 261 yards and a pair of touchdowns in leading Jacksonville to its first home win of the season. Henne seems to be on the same page with receivers Justin Blackmon and Cecil Shorts, and the Jags face only one winning team the rest of the way. Anyone looking for a potential late-season matchup play should consider adding Henne.

Fantasy football free agents: One-week plays

The following fantasy football pickups are for those who need injury or bye week replacements. They are not players you immediately acquire - unless your team is in dire straits. Some have, however, shown some life and should be followed in case they materialize as options beyond their temporary use.

NEW - Brandon Weeden, Cleveland Browns (76 percent)

Weeden, who was concussed in the team's Week 12 win, has been cleared to practice and is set to start this Sunday against the Oakland Raiders. Over the past month, the Raiders have allowed opposing signal-callers to light them up for 256.8 passing yards and a league-high 2.75 touchdowns per game. We know Weeden is capable of big performances. This could be one.
