Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: QB | RB | WR | TE | PK | DT
If you are serious about winning your fantasy league football championship, stay on top of your fantasy football team throughout the year. Each week during the NFL fantasy football season, KFFL brings you its Fantasy Football Waiver Wire, which breaks down players to pick up. Be aggressive when picking up fantasy football free agents. Even if you do not need a player, you can tuck him away for depth or block others from adding him to their fantasy football team. Note: Percentage of polled leagues in which player is available in parentheses Fantasy football free agents: Priority additionsThe following players should be high on your radar and are worthy of being added immediately to your fantasy football team.
Matt Prater, Denver Broncos (34 percent) Now that Peyton Manning officially looks like Peyton Manning again, Prater is being elevated to honorary Mike Vanderjagt status. Prater suffered his first missed field goal attempt of the season in Week 1 but still reached double figures for the second time in three games (and fourth in seven). With Denver staring at an easy second-half schedule, Prater is an attractive addition. Mason Crosby, Green Bay Packers (32 percent) Crosby has been in a major funk recently, missing half of his last 10 field goal attempts. He's a 78.3 percent career kicker, however, and at the end of the day he still kicks for one of the league's premier offenses. That should be enough to make him a viable weekly starter. Fantasy football free agents: Look to acquireThe following players will have greater significance in deep fantasy football leagues. In shallow fantasy football leagues, they are not as high of a priority but should be considered based on your fantasy football team's needs. Tampa Bay's offense has been stunningly effective recently, scoring at least 28 points in five straight games. Had Barth converted all his chances during that run he'd have reached double digits four times and never finished with fewer than seven. Although suspect accuracy (78.9 percent) has prevented it, you cannot discount the number of chances Barth is getting. Fantasy football free agents: One-week playsThe following fantasy football pickups are for those who need injury or bye week replacements. They are not players you immediately acquire - unless your team is in dire straits. Some have, however, shown some life and should be followed in case they materialize as options beyond their temporary use. Conservatively, Cleveland's quantity of problems may number around 99, but an inaccurate kicker ain't one. Dawson is a perfect 17-for-17 on field goal tries this season, and a Week 11 matchup with the Dallas Cowboys should afford him ample chances to put up points. Over the past month, only the Miami Dolphins have allowed more field goal attempts per game (3.33) than Dallas (3.0). Start Dawson with confidence.
