Read on to learn which midrange to low-end players you wouldn't necessarily consider that you need to get into your lineup.

Big Ben vs. Big D's suspect D

Fantasy value: Midrange No. 1

• In a first game in a month, Big Ben tossed three touchdown passes and 285 yards worth as the Steelers attempted to climb out of a deep hole against the San Diego Chargers in Week 14. Pittsburgh's receiving corps is starting to return to health and should give the Cowboys' injured secondary everything they can handle.
• Dallas has given up 242.8 passing yards and a pair of scores per game to the position, while allowing a 62.8 percent completion rate. The 'Boys have intercepted two passes in the last month and have one fumble recovery.

• Oakland's defense has put Palmer in all too many situations of needing to throw and throw a lot, which is bad for the Raiders but great for you. He has averaged 270.5 yards and 1.75 scores per matchup. Unfortunately, he has an even touchdown-to-turnover ratio, but that tends to with the territory for a quarterback averaging 40 attempts per game in the last month.
• KC has surrendered 241.0 yards and 2.00 offensive touchdowns per game to signal callers. They have averaged 21.8 fantasy points each week against this D, while turning over the ball only one time in the past four weeks.

• Truly desperate? Like, "How the hell did I make it this far with nothing to speak of at QB?" desperate? Tannehill has a good matchup and could surprise. The Dolphins shouldn't have much problem running the ball, which could open up play-action passing. Three weeks ago he threw for 253 yards and a score, which is his best effort since Week 9.
• Jacksonville's defense of QBs is encouraging for a fantasy owner in dire straits. They have given up 252.8 aerial yards and 2.25 touchdowns per outing to the position. Passers have completed a healthy 66.4 percent of their throws but have turned over the ball 1.50 times per game.
