"On top of all the hitting and that's all great -- what he's done with his glove, whether he's playing third or short or second or center field, I don't know, he's got this amazing glove and he does a really good job. It's good to see the success he has and you just kind of ride it for as long as it lasts," SP Ryan Dempster said.

Third Baseman

3B | Alex Rodriguez | New York Yankees | Injury, Fantasy
New York Yankees 3B Alex Rodriguez (hip) is reportedly rushing a return to rehab games so he can claim he's physically unable to perform because of his hip injury and retire. He would collect the $114 million he's owed over the next five years and avoid a possible suspension for his link to Biogenesis. "It's all about him getting his money and not losing it to suspension," one source close to the situation told the Daily News. "He knows he's never going to the Hall of Fame. All that's left for him is to make sure he gets his money - all of it."

3B | Manny Machado | Baltimore Orioles | Fantasy

3B | Ryan Zimmerman | Washington Nationals | Injury, Fantasy
Washington Nationals 3B Ryan Zimmerman (shoulder) revealed that his shoulder probably won't be completely normal until the offseason, but it doesn't cause him any pain when he's swinging. Washington could give him more days off in the second half of the season to keep him as healthy as possible.

3B | Conor Gillaspie | Chicago White Sox | Transaction, Fantasy
The Chicago White Sox placed 3B Conor Gillaspie on the paternity list Wednesday, June 26, and recalled 3B Brent Morel from Triple-A Charlotte in a corresponding move.

3B | Kris Bryant | Chicago Cubs | Fantasy
Chicago Cubs 3B Kris Bryant, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2013 First Year Player Draft, is nowhere near an agreement with the organization, according to people familiar with the negotiations. Reportedly, Bryant is seeking more than the $6.7 million allotted to the No. 2 slot of the draft, while the Cubs are hoping to be closer to $6 million, in part because the No. 1 overall pick, Houston Astros SP Mark Appel, signed for $6.35 million. Scott Boras is the agent for both players, and he's apparently seeking a bonus for Bryant that's greater than Appel's.

Bryant could choose to return to play for the University of San Diego in hopes of becoming the No. 1 overall pick in 2014. Chicago is believed to be able to spend at least $7 million, based on how much of their draft allotment remains unspent. Their allotment is $10.56 million this year. If Bryant chooses not to sign, the Cubs cannot spend that money elsewhere, although they would receive a 2014 draft choice as compensation. Negotiations appear likely to push the July 15 deadline to sign draft picks.

C | Carlos Ruiz | Philadelphia Phillies | Fantasy
The New York Yankees are throwing Philadelphia Phillies C Carlos Ruiz's name around as the trade deadline approaches for an upgrade at the catching position, according to a baseball executive. The Yanks could also be interested in Phillies 2B Chase Utley and 3B Michael Young, whom the Phillies may be willing to part with. Utley and Young can both play first base now that 1B Mark Teixeira (wrist) is out for the year. Utley and Young are in the final year of their contracts with Philly.

The player is recovering at home in Florida with his family from his second concussion of the year, both within a month's span. "It's going to take time. It's going to require analyzing it, making sure I know what's going on, be very aware of how I feel up there and what I need to tweak. But it's definitely steps in the right direction."

Heyward homered against Kansas City Royals RP Tim Collins, a left-hander, on Tuesday. It's his first in 65 at-bats against southpaws this season and the first round-tripper that Collins has allowed in 2013.

OF | Jordan Schafer | Atlanta Braves | Injury, Depth Chart Tidbit, Fantasy

Buchholz said he could pitch in a game if he had too, but he's just not comfortable right now. "I don't feel like it's right for me to go back out and pitch when I'm 80 percent. SP | Zack Wheeler | New York Mets | Fantasy,
