1B | Ike Davis | New York Mets | Fantasy
New York Mets 1B Ike Davis is in the process of making changes to his swing with hitting coach George Greer and manager Wally Backman at Triple-A Las Vegas, and Davis went 2-for-2 with three walks Wednesday, June 19. "They say he's made real good strides," manager Terry Collins said. "They're trying to calm the hitch down -- not have it so big. They're trying to keep his upper body back, behind the baseball a little bit more -- keep his head in a little bit better. His stride had got him to where he's lunging. They've got him on the plate a little bit better. They're keeping his front hip in, instead of having it fly, which sometimes can cause the shoulders to come off the ball. The grip of the bat has helped him free up his hands a little bit -- more toward your fingers and less toward your palm." Davis is hitting .258 with a .439 on-base percentage in nine games with Vegas. There is no timetable for Davis to return to the Mets, however.

1B | Lance Berkman | Texas Rangers | Injury, Fantasy
Texas Rangers 1B Lance Berkman (leg) said he is having problems with straightening his right leg, which is affecting his left-handed swing. He is hit his last three home runs while hitting right-handed. Berkman has sat out three of the last four games to rest.

2B | Dan Uggla | Atlanta Braves | Fantasy
Atlanta Braves 2B Dan Uggla is enduring some problems with his vision. He's having his eyes examined by a doctor Thursday, June 20, per assistant hitting coach Scott Fletcher, who left open the possibility of Uggla eventually having Lasik surgery. "There's certain balls and stuff he said he wasn't seeing well," Fletcher said. "At times he's flinching on balls that are good pitches and it's like, 'Why am I not seeing that ball better?' So we'll see how it goes with that."

2B | Dustin Ackley | Seattle Mariners | Fantasy
Seattle Mariners manager Eric Wedge indicated the team has not called up 2B Dustin Ackley yet because they want him to get more reps in the outfield with Triple-A Tacoma. Ackley likely will see time in centerfield when he does get recalled.

I have every bit of faith in Starlin being an impact player."

Ramirez plans to keep playing through the pain unless it become unbearable.

3B | Alex Rodriguez | New York Yankees | Injury, Fantasy
New York Yankees 3B Alex Rodriguez (hip) is making "fantastic" progress in his recovery from hip surgery, and he could be ready to play in rehab games right after the All-Star break. One Yankees official said "he may beat everyone back" in relation to the team's other injured players. Despite the good progress for Rodriguez, the team won't list a timetable for his return to action. Another team official said Rodriguez is "clearly well ahead of SS Derek Jeter (ankle)." "Alex is clearly able to do everything functionally. It's just wrapping it all up and putting it into games," general manager Brian Cashman said.

3B | Mike Moustakas | Kansas City Royals | Fantasy
Kansas City Royals 3B Mike Moustakas posted his first multi-hit game Tuesday, June 18, in two weeks, and he followed it up with another multi-hit performance Wednesday, June 19, his first back-to-back multi-hit games since last September. Moustakas is gaining confidence while working with new hitting coach George Brett. "I'm trying to get back to driving the ball to the right side. Staying focused on the middle but using my strength to that pull side of the field," Moustakas said. He's hitting only .193 with eight home runs and 36 RBIs in 435 at-bats this year.

Manager Ned Yost and general manager Dayton Moore have preached patience with Moustakas, and Moore thought a demotion to Triple-A Omaha would only be warranted if Moustakas' confidence wavered. Brett has helped to convince Moustakas that he's not far away from figuring things out, and the mental approach to the game has been emphasized by the organization. "I'm not a singles guy who hits balls to left. I drive the baseball, and that's what I'm trying to get back to doing. Getting a good downward angle on the ball and backspinning it into the gaps," he said. Both Moustakas and Brett believe Moose is making solid progress.
