SS | Justin Sellers | Los Angeles Dodgers | Fantasy
The Los Angeles Dodgers are sold on SS Justin Sellers because of his defense, and he could see plenty of playing time early in the season, according to manager Don Mattingly. "Obviously, we'll see where it goes," Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said. "With the pitching staff we've put together, we want to make sure we catch it as much as we can." The Dodgers like Sellers at shortstop more than SS Dee Gordon. ""We want to be able to catch it," Mattingly said. "And we're willing to sacrifice offense to do it."

SS | Elvis Andrus | Texas Rangers | Fantasy
Texas Rangers SS Elvis Andrus will earn $4.8 million this year and $6.475 million in 2014. He will receive a signing bonus and four years of $15 million per season through the 2018 season. OF | John Mayberry Jr. | Philadelphia Phillies | Fantasy
Philadelphia Phillies OF John Mayberry Jr. is starting over OF Laynce Nix in the outfield on opening day Monday, April 1, because manager Charlie Manuel likes Mayberry's approach against Atlanta Braves SP Tim Hudson. I just felt like that's what I wanted to see. That's how I wanted to put it together." Rollins is hitting behind Revere in the No. 2 hole.

OF | Gregor Blanco | San Francisco Giants | Fantasy
San Francisco Giants manager Bruce Bochy said there won't be a straight platoon in left field between OFs Andres Torres and Gregor Blanco, but it will start out that way to open the season.

Sabathia noted that he's a slow starter, but his velocity was even down several mph on all his pitches from a season ago. "I'm sure that the velocity will keep coming back and the arm strength will keep building up the more I throw," Sabathia said. "Health-wise, I feel fine, elbow, shoulder and everything. It's just time I guess to build the arm strength back up."

SP | Clayton Kershaw | Los Angeles Dodgers | Fantasy,
Los Angeles Dodgers SP Clayton Kershaw tossed a four-hit shutout and hit his first career home run while defeating the San Francisco Giants in the team's opening day game Monday, April 1. Kershaw came into the game with one extra-base hit in 263 career at-bats.

SP | Stephen Strasburg | Washington Nationals | Fantasy,
Washington Nationals SP Stephen Strasburg only needed 80 pitches through seven innings against the Miami Marlins Monday, April 1. He allowed just three hits while walking none and striking out only three in the win. Strasburg has made it a goal to pitch more to contact this year in order to pitch deeper into games. "Stras was amazing. He basically threw a lot of fastballs and threw a few curveballs and a few changeups. Basically he was locating his fastball real good. He just pitched a great game," manager Davey Johnson said. Johnson said he probably would have let Strasburg pitch deeper into the game if it wasn't opening day. "I didn't think he was tired, even at the end of the game. But again, first time out, opening day, gave me seven solid innings. I'm not pushing the envelope. I never have, never will," Johnson said.

Sveum said he's not concerned with the situation.
