"So we have positive hopes for it to resolve itself."

In his return start Tuesday, March 12, against the San Diego Padres, San Francisco Giants SP Tim Lincecum (blister) pitched 2 1/3 innings, allowing three runs. The right-hander gave up four hits, struck out three and had his fastball clocked at 93 mph. Prior to the game, Giants manager Bruce Bochy said the organization would be happy if they got 45 pitches out of Lincecum. They got 43.

SP | Ivan Nova | New York Yankees | Depth Chart Tidbit, Fantasy,
New York Yankees SP Ivan Nova and SP David Phelps are competing for the fifth spot in the starting rotation. If SP Phil Hughes starts the season unable to pitch for whatever reason then Nova and Phelps would take the bottom two spots. Otherwise, Hughes slots fourth and either Nova or Phelps would go fifth.

"It's obvious what we've seen out of Ogando the last few outings isn't Ogando. He is a strike thrower." Ogando has nine strikeouts in 10 1/3 innings.

Halladay had trouble locating his pitches. "I was really lethargic," Halladay said. "Warming up it was as good as it's been all year. Once we got out there it was completely different. I think it's just that time of spring you're going all the time. We had an extra day so I threw two bullpens in between, and you're trying to work on as much stuff as you can. So I really feel that kind of caught up with me today." He said he wasn't sore after the game, though, and the team insists he's fully healthy.

Rzepczynski said he could see fine but admitted to having some trouble with depth perception when the catcher returned the ball.

RP | Joba Chamberlain | New York Yankees | Fantasy,
The Texas Rangers have expressed interest in New York Yankees RP Joba Chamberlain. Although Chamberlain in the bullpen would give the Yankees a healthier relief corps, Chamberlain has expressed an interest in starting games, so the Rangers scouted Chamberlain during the team's game Monday, March 11, against the St. Louis Cardinals.
