Texas Rangers RP Joe Nathan will trigger his incentive bonus with the next game he finishes. He's one game finished away from 60 on the season, which will give him an extra $300,000 and will take the total of his 2012 salary to $8 million.

Texas Rangers RP Roy Oswalt hopes to receive more work in relief in order to stay sharp with the season winding down and the team approaching postseason play. "Pitching every 15 days, it's just hard to get into that kind of role. If you can get a little more work, it makes it a little easier. It's a routine, just like for a hitter," Oswalt said. Manager Ron Washington has been impressed with Oswalt and hopes to get him some more work over the final eight games of the regular season.
