Texas Rangers send CL Frank Francisco back to DL

Anthony Andro, of the Dallas Morning News, reports Texas Rangers closer Frank Francisco (shoulder) was placed on the 15-day disabled list with shoulder stiffness. The move is retroactive to June 4, and he'll be eligible to return Friday, June 19.

Francisco, who hasn't pitched since June 3, threw a successful 32-pitch bullpen session Sunday, June 14. He is expected to throw long toss and another bullpen session Tuesday, June 16, before beginning a minor league rehab assignment.

For the time being, C.J. Wilson will continue to close games for the Rangers. If he's available, grab him.
