QB | Matt Hasselbeck | Seattle Seahawks | Injury News
Dave Boling, of The News Tribune, reports Seattle Seahawks QB Matt Hasselbeck (back) looks completely healthy and in fine form thus far in offseason workouts. Hasselbeck's throws had good velocity and he showed good mobility.

Running Back

RB | J.J. Arrington | Free Agent | Injury News, Free Agency News, Fantasy
Mike Klis, of The Denver Post, reports free-agent RB J.J. Arrington (knee), who was just released by the Denver Broncos, will need season-ending microfracture surgery on his right knee. He has not been able to regain strength in his knee after undergoing offseason arthroscopic knee surgery.

RB | Cedric Benson | Cincinnati Bengals | Fantasy
Joe Reedy, of The Cincinnati Enquirer, reports Cincinnati Bengals RB Cedric Benson doesn't feel like he has established himself yet. "I've showed glimpses, but I have a lot still to do," Benson said. He is looking forward to taking on a larger workload this year. "I can take the load," Benson said. "It's something I know how to do and I enjoy it." He said head coach Marvin Lewis has reiterated the team is going to run the football this year and they have been working on that during OTAs a lot. Offensive coordinator Bob Bratkowski is looking for Benson to improve on some footwork issues and become more consistent in the running lanes.

RB | Laurence Maroney | New England Patriots | Injury News
David Lefort, of the Boston Globe, reports New England Patriots RB Laurence Maroney (shoulder) participated in practice Wednesday, May 27.

RB | Brian Westbrook | Philadelphia Eagles | Injury News, Fantasy
Jeff McLane, of The Philadelphia Inquirer, reports Philadelphia Eagles RB Brian Westbrook (knee) may attend the team's offseason workouts next week. Westbrook, however, will be eased into a full return because he is coming off knee surgery. He also turns 30 before the season begins, so he will be given time to rest.

RB | LeSean McCoy | Philadelphia Eagles | Depth Chart Tidbit, Fantasy
Jeff McLane, of The Philadelphia Inquirer, reports Philadelphia Eagles backup RB Lorenzo Booker said he believes he is the team's No. 2 running back behind starter Brian Westbrook. That, however, doesn't jive with what head coach Andy Reid said earlier in May when he noted rookie RB LeSean McCoy had that role. "For me to start sweating, you've got to take my job," Booker said. "Come take my job. If you can take it, then take it. We'll see. That's what the whole point of camp and all that is."

RB | Michael Bush | Oakland Raiders | Fantasy
Jerry McDonald, of ANG Newspapers, reports the conventional wisdom is that at some point this season, the Oakland Raiders will phase RB Justin Fargas out in favor of RB Michael Bush. Bush, who has appeared to lineup at fullback at times during OTAs, could then join RB Darren McFadden in a two-back system. Both players would be threats as runners and pass receivers out of the backfield.

RB | Deuce McAllister | Free Agent | Free Agency News
Mike Triplett, of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, reports if unrestricted free-agent RB Deuce McAllister (Saints) is not on a roster to start the season, he still would be able to serve his four-game suspension when he is a free agent and could play for a team immediately after the suspension.

Fullback

FB | Peyton Hillis | Denver Broncos | Fantasy
Mike Klis, of The Denver Post, reports Denver Broncos FB Peyton Hillis' versatility could earn him some action on third downs this year.

Wide Receiver

WR | Terrell Owens | Buffalo Bills | Fantasy
Allen Wilson, of The Buffalo News, reports Buffalo Bills QB Trent Edwards spent more than 20 minutes following the conclusion of the team's OTA Wednesday, May 27, throwing extra passes to WRs Terrell Owens and Lee Evans. The three are trying to get their timing down better. "I think it's very, very important, especially for me being new to the system," Owens said. Owens, who admitted he is still making some mistakes, added the two are trying to get a sense of chemistry and he is trying to get used to how Edwards throws the ball. Edwards encouraged the extra work due to some sloppy play during the OTA.

WR | Matt Jones | Free Agent | Free Agency News
Vaughn McClure, of the Chicago Tribune, reports the Chicago Bears are unlikely to pursue free-agent WR Matt Jones (Jaguars). General manager Jerry Angelo said, "He was a first-round draft pick and he is a very talented player, but it's case by case. We're not quick to move on any player." Angelo added, "Guys make mistakes, move on, and become better people. Some guys have patterns of bad behavior and continue to have those patterns. I'm not saying that about Matt Jones. What I'm saying is we have to do our homework. And then you have to look at what value that person brings to your football team irrelevant of his off-the-field issues."

WR | Roy Williams | Dallas Cowboys | Fantasy
David Moore, of The Dallas Morning News, reports the pressure is on Dallas Cowboys WR Roy Williams to produce in 2009. He is more concerned this summer with building a rapport with QB Tony Romo and laying the groundwork for a productive season. "He's still learning me and I'm still learning him," Williams said of his chemistry with Romo. "It's a long journey."

WR | Michael Crabtree | San Francisco 49ers | Injury News
Matthew Barrows, of the Sacramento Bee, reports San Francisco 49ers WR Michael Crabtree (foot) will not be able to practice with the team until training camp. Due to him getting a late start on his pro learning process, there is no guarantee Crabtree will start for the team in Week 1.
