2009 fantasy outlook: Ambrose participated in about a third of the Sprint Cup Series schedule last season, so he will have some familiarity entering this season. He struggled at times in 2008, finishing 30th or worse six times, but finished third at the race at Watkins Glen International. Ambrose is coming off two successful seasons in the Nationwide Series after finishing 10th in points in 2008 and eight as a rookie in 2007. He has one career win and four top-five finishes in the Nationwide Series, so he has raced successfully against some of the Sprint Cup drivers. Fantasy owners should consider Ambrose as a low-end No. 3 driver with moderate risk and nearly equal upside this season.
