I've chirped about his MI value this offseason; when you can grab a .300 clip and an elite run total in the middle rounds, don't wait.
Paul Konerko
1B
CHW
Elite? Not anymore, but his power is his last trace of it. Injuries and an MLB-worst BABIP hurt him last year. Want 30 HRs? Take 'em.
Javier Vazquez
SP
ATL
Let me see: 200 innings, 200 K's and a switch to a pitcher-friendly NL park? How is he NOT worthy of being a value No. 2 SP?
Ted Lilly
SP
CHC
Another K and W value for middle rounds. ERA will probably remain shaky, but he anchors your staff as a No. 3 or No. 4 SP.
Kenji Johjima
C
SEA
He's falling because of a fluky 2008. He's the undisputed starter with Jeff Clement gone, and a normalized BA = a value No. 2 C.

Paul Konerko

League-low .247 BABIP contributed to his off year - his average should bounce back, and he can still club 25-30 homers.
Javier Vazquez
SP
ATL
A K rate above 8.00 in each of the last four seasons. He should benefit from moving out of a bandbox and to the pitcher-friendly NL.
Jose Lopez
2B
SEA
Hidden in the Pacific Northwest, Lopez, 25, saw his power and batting eye increase last year, and he has yet to hit his prime.
Adam Wainwright
SP
STL
A finger injury derailed him midseason, but he still finished with a 3.20 ERA last year. He could give No. 1 stats as your No. 2 starter.
Carlos Guillen
OF
DET
Potential for .290 average, 20 homers and 80 RBIs, in addition to multiposition eligibility, makes him attractive in the late middle rounds.

Tearing it up in the spring; will get regular playing time in the OF rotation and is a multi-category performer; worth every bit of his 270.2 ADP and more.
Placido Polanco
2B
DET
Awesome value as a MI with his .300-plus average and massive run totals. ADP of 235.8 is absurdly low.
Rick Ankiel
OF
STL
Entering his second year as a full-time hitter, look for improved average and 30-plus dingers. ADP is 215th overall.
Coco Crisp
OF
KC
How is he being drafted behind Ryan Church and Juan Pierre, on average? Enjoy the SBs and OBP with an ADP of 254.7.
Kevin Slowey
SP
MIN
He is drafted, on average, after Joe Saunders is. Slowey's spring ratios point to a breakout season, and he should improve his K/9.

The what for
Bengie Molina

SF
A .280 hitter good for 15-18 homers and 75-plus RBIs can be had as a low-end No. 1 catcher? I'll take two, thanks.
Placido Polanco
2B
DET
Why do so few seem interested in a .300-plus batsman who'll cross the plate 90-plus times from the 2B spot?
Adrian Beltre
3B
SEA
Mark this down: a .270 averge, 25 homers, 80 RBIs and 10 stolen bases. Guess he's just boring. Oh, he's in a contract year.
Raul Ibanez
OF
PHI
I wouldn't want a dude who always hits .290 with 20-plus homers and drives in 110 and left Safeco for CBP either. Kidding!
Javier Vazquez
SP
ATL
Vazquez was considered a fantasy No. 2 last year; now he has moved to a better park. Honorable mention: 'mate Derek Lowe
